Community organizations are more important than ever - they build bridges and provide necessary services. At the same time, the work keeps getting harder. I know from experience that sometimes what leaders need most is a thought partner who will ask the right questions, clarify next steps, and help navigate change.

That's where Valley Commons Consulting comes in. I'm Erin DeCou, and I provide organizational development and evaluation support to community organizations, government agencies, and many other types of institutions.
Bringing "the commons" to your work
​Traditionally, “the commons" is a space to gather and share resources for the greater good. Throughout my 20 year career as a nonprofit leader and a research manager committed to community-engaged approaches, I have relied on the collective wisdom and skills of a wide variety of individuals, from youth to seasoned professionals.
Organizations are stronger when multiple stakeholders come together to exchange ideas, figure out how to address problems, and transform them.
